Newt Gingrich took the stage at the Georgia Republican Party state convention on Saturday wearing a Mitt Romney sticker, focusing his attacks on President Barack Obama and attempting to energize the crowd around his former Republican rival.
"To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America."

I’m more and more glad he lost.
I suppose a Newt has to be a team player...otoh, would hate to find out that Beck was right about him.
Perhaps you were blinded for your love of country.
For conservatives... electing either of them should not be acceptable
Words to live by.
>>Perhaps you were blinded for your love of country. <<
Oh my goodness, thank you.
That is the kindest thing anyone has said to me on FR in months.
Lord Love you!
Yes, that’s exactly what Newt said, that he’s for Romneycare. In fact, his exact words were, “I’m for RomneyCare.”
Anyone who thinks a vote not for Romney is a vote FOR Obama is a badly mistaken TrueBlue glue sniffer
Good for Newt. I was afraid he was gonna be half-hearted about his endorsement.
No one needs to be half hearted here, we need to defeat Obama in a landslide, no matter who your favorite candidate was before Romney won.
And please don’t come over here from some parallel universe and say Romney hasn’t won yet. He has.
For all I have disliked Romney since his minions went after Palin in 2008, the one thing which is clear is that Romney is smart, and a clear-thinking competitor.
A small part of me, continues to hope Romney comes to the (to me inevitable) conclusion that the only way he can possibly avoid a bruising tea party insurgency making his life constant misery for the next four years - is to bring Palin onto the ticket. A move even most disgruntled Freepers would find difficult to resist.
I have not yet, dismissed the logic of the move.
It would absolutely, energize the base for Romney.
That’s the most convoluted sentence I’ve read in a while.
But, if I understand you ... and it’s hard ... if you are saying that not voting for Romney is NOT voting for Obama, you are wrong.
It is.
Every vote Romney doesn’t get is, in effect, a vote for Obama.
I am not for a narrow victory, he said. I am for crushing the left in every single way.So, he is for crushing Romney then?
>>A move even most disgruntled Freepers would find difficult to resist.<<
I think what the FReepers, especially the disgruntled ones, haven’t realized is that we are not the nation. The nation voted for Romney. They are pushing him into the lead. I can’t stand him but I’m terrified of Obama.
You’re absolutely correct, Sarah would make the pill a whole lot easier to swallow.

“Romney will go the way of Dole and McCain. “
That’s how we got Obama. THIS time, we can’t let that happen. This is the most critical election in our lifetime.
In a second term there is nothing to stop Obama from dismanteling freedom and all that’s good about the US and turn us in USSA.
Dole and McCain didn’t put up much of a fight against the media. I expect that Romney will.
We need a winner ~
No sale. I'm not voting for a pro-abortion, anti-gun, socialized medicine, big government liberal.

Seriously, Romney can’t win. There really is no way any Conservative can help this guy in his campaign even if they want to. The man’s thoughts are so alien to ours he’s just not going to be understood.
