Sad, but also true for those of us Gentiles that LOVE “meat candy” (bacon).

I’ve learned just recently God’s directive is for all that believe in Him; good advice for our health from above-—for our own good, but Damn! All considered “scavengers” are what I love to eat! Scallops, shrimp, catfish, pigs (bacon-sausage); as you state, those that chew their cud and those that have fins and scales that swim the ocean are to be our food.

I hear ya...I stopped eating biblically prohibited meats about 11 years ago...I used to love shrimp and scallops. The good thing is that I hardly ever go to Red Lobster anymore.

For the pork products like bacon and sausage there are all kinds of alternatives from chicken, beef and turkey. I love turkey bacon and beef breakfast patties.
