As has been reported on this site many times, Obama did indeed attend the less exclusive, more or less walk-in "School of General Studies" at Columbia. It is just that when one completed the requirements, Columbia College granted the bachelors degree. Odd. But nonetheless true.
That would be shown if and when Columbia gets around to releasing a true record of his brief stay there, revealing what courses he actually took, what grades he got, and where he traveled. It would also be interesting if he originally applied and enrolled as a "Foreign Student," or not.
We now know, for instance, that he applied to Occidental, indicating birth in Kenya. The official story now is that he thought the application was referring to his "Father's Place of Birth." Since his paperwork from Occidental would be key to Columbia granting academic credit for courses taken elsewhere, that would also become part of the Columbia record, perhaps indicating another reason for keeping the record sealed.
Obama sure is weird among presidents no matter how you slice it. Any other president openly brags on his alma mater(s) and vice versa.
If this stuff is hiding in the open, I’d have to ask EVERYBODY both conservative and not why so little attention. Surely while John McCain personally underwhelmed, did nobody want to help his cause (or hinder Obama’s) by sticking this info out into the public themselves? Or was that before restrictions on indirect campaign financing were eased?
Somehow the story that Barack Obama was such a dummox he didn’t know his own nationality from his dad’s and missed for years author publicity claiming he was born in Kenya, is going to wear quite thin, or else get taken literally. Maybe that’s why he nominated Joe Biden! The Dummox Club!!
