The DNC used the exact same nomination letter (including the typo) to Hawaii for Obama that they did for Kerry and Gore
I thought The Ones nomination letter did not include the words about being a natural born citizen. Are you saying that Kerry's and Gore's also did not?

You can always tell when the subject at hand has struck a nerve, the usual suspects always show up.

I recall reading somewhere last year that the nomination notification and certification letter sent to Hawaii was the only one out of the 50 that did include the language that Obama and Biden were eligible for the offices they were nominated to run for.
The other 49 left out that entire sentence about eligibility.

There is much confusion on this subject. There are two certification letters sent to Hawaii: one from the Democratic Party of Hawaii (HDP), one from the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
- In 2000, the DNC certification began without the eligibility line but was later added manually by typewritter. The 2000 HDP certification contained the same eligibility line.
- In 2004, the DNC certification did not contain the eligibility line; the HDP certification did.
- In 2008, the DNC certification did; the HDP certification did not.
In 2006, before Obama ever announced he was running for POTUS, the DNC began assuming responsibility for the certification language required by individual states.
