Thank you, I did not know this. Now that I revisit my HS Biology it makes sense. Is there some other medication I am thinking I heard or was told of which actually prevents conception?

Any medical treatment which prevents the ovum from being produced by the Ovary (the organ not releasing the gamete, the ovum) is a contraceptive or the female. With the male, anything preventing the male gamete (the spermatazoon) from entering into the process is a contraceptive for the male. Vasectomy is an example of a male contraceptive method.

BTW, nice name you've got there. MY "G" stands for Galloway.
