For Rush to say that it was “conventional wisdom” that Obama was born in Hawaii and then spin some convoluted reason for the “born in Kenya” literary bio, was very strange to say the least.

I dunno, Rush is a master at beating the media at their own game:

If Rush goes along with the conventional wisdom that barryo was born in Hawaii, he escapes the instant "birther label. The media knows that when they can apply the birther label everything else that was said, the real subject matter becomes moot.

Rush is concentrating on the fact obama has not and will not release his records, that is where so much info on obama could really shine the light on the whole truth and it cannot be escaped or impugned with a "birther" lable.

And at the same time he is still letting the news out to his listeners that there are really valid questions as evidenced by this latest revelation, yet keeping the pressure on the media and obama to release his records at the same time.

Rush is not stupid, I think he has a strategy in this whole thing and knows he has to be careful how he plays this.

This is a dangerous game with incalculable repercussions, I think he know it too.

Just my $.02.

Your post #157.

Rush is not stupid. I think he has a strategy in this whole ting and knows he has to be careful how he plays this.
This is a dangerous game with incalculable repercussions.....

In the light of a curious attitude on the part of many of the general public, Rush knows full well the pitfalls. You will be aware of the instances I give, but to get my point across I mention them. Dan Quayle had many strong personal characteristics, yet he honed the contempt of the usual suspects on his "Murphy Brown" statement. This on the value of two parents, not a single one. One move on spelling potato the old fashioned way and he was flattened.

They are just waiting for a major so- called "gaffe" on Rush's part. He will not give 'em the chance. Bill Cunningham's radio show on Sundays, allows that "only ten percent of me, believes the president was not born in the US. " Pretty smart tactic here. He then allows all and sundry to fire away on the subject, including Joseph Farah of WND. Callers are allowed full rein and sound like Freepers in some cases.

Bill thrown under the bus by Senator McCain, as he warmed up the crowd for the nominee. As most people will recall, Bill used the name Hussein to introduce the now president. Senator John tut tutted and appeared most perturbed over this.
