An airport security supervisor at a NJ-based international airport has been arrested and charged with using the identity for 20 years of a man who was brutally murdered. Nigerian native Abimbola Olumuyiwa Oyewole, 54, has been in the US illegally since 1989, AP reported. He was in charge of 30 guards at Newark Intl airport when nabbed.
Oyewole was hired before the TSA existed, the controversial federal agency said, noting that that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey checked and cleared Oyewole's credentials when hiring and promoting him. NOTE the TSA recently released a report singling out Newark airport for several high-profile security breaches.
At Newark Liberty International Airport, Oyewole was known to his employer as Jerry Thomas, a man murdered in Queens, New York, about 20 years ago. Oyewole, an illegal immigrant from Nigeria, claims he bought the fake ID in late June or early July of 1992, which pre-dates the subject's killing. On July 20, Jerry Thomas — a 41-year-old career criminal with an arrest record dating to the 1960s — was shot four times in the face, leg and chest (shooter wanted to make dam sure he was dead) in his room at the Jamaica, Queens YMCA.
The murder case quickly turned cold, but "Jerry Thomas" lived on through Nigerian illegal Abimbola “Bimbo” Olumuyia Oyewole.
Oyewole used the dead man’s name, birth certificate and Social Security number to get a New Jersey driver’s license.....and probably voted as well. The Port Authority unaccountably promoted the imposter Oyewole---as he worked his way up to supervising 30 Newark Airport guards---and gave him unlimited access to secure areas. Oyewole passed several background checks, most recently FJC Security, a major Port Authority contractor.
Reports now say illegal Oyewole had other identities which he apparently purchased from document brokers for several thousand dollars each.
Subsequent TV news segments reported: (1) Oyewole's stolen ID is being investigated in connection with the unsolved murder; (2) Oyewole is being investigated for "other PA crimes," (3) Oyewole crimes included having several other identities; (4) Oyewole successfully passed several Port Authority bgrnd checks as he worked his way up to supervising 30 security agents; (5) The PA gave Oyewole acccess to high level airport security areas.
Oyewole was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bail on a charge of identity theft at his arraignment in New Jersey Superior Court in Newark.“We simply do not know who this gentleman is. Therefore, he is a flight risk,” New Jersey Deputy Attorney General told the court.
IS THERE A CONNECTION? Oyewole's period of employment encompassed the cataclysmic events of 911 which raises questions about who had knowledge of the events beforehand. The 911 bombers easily passed airport security and 911 bomber planes apparently got needed clearance from Newark Airport. We need to know why the PA upper echelon kept promoting Oyewole, why he passed crucial PA security checks, and why the PA gave the imposter access to security areas?

July 21, 2006----NJ BERGEN RECORD---Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said.
The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said state police.
The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot.
The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout.
After a search, police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.
The haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards.

I have to believe TSA is willfully blind to ignore the overwhelming number of Africans and Arabs who have taken jobs at our nation’s airports.
Minneapolis, Phily, Chicago, Denver, etc., can’t sell a newspaper or stick of gum without some foreign language chatterer being involved.

I would say, but common sense holds my tongue, that Oyewole had the same scrutiny into his background as the Resident in Chief. Now what do these gentlemen have in common?

We all know that "illegals" is a cruel pejorative for hard working victims of America chauvinism. These situations arise from undocumented, but willing to be documented at any cost, taxpayers. This rant could protract into pages of diatribe, but why bother? In a few months, this item will be scrubbed from the citizen conscience and archives. We will then be herded into the voting booths to vote for Mittens or an unvetted Kenyan.

More alarming is that the Port Authorities of both New York and New Jersey and the TSA thought nothing about hiring, and then promoting to a supervisory position, a career criminal with an arrest record dating back 40 years.

We also need to know what Larry Silverstein---developer and owner of the bombed-out World Trade Center---knows about this. This sucker collected insurance billions after the bombing.
REFERENCE It took the Twin Towers Alliance, which has served as an ad hoc citizens’ watchdog group over the Pork Authority since 2005, about two years and and four Freedom of Information requests to obtain lease contracts for the new towers rising at the bombed-out World Trade Center site. The information was suddenly released to the alliance after a judge allowed the alliance to join a lawsuit as a “friend of the court” that was filed by AAA to overturn the Sept. 2011 toll hikes.
The alliance contends billions of redevelopment dollars given to Silversteain could have been saved,.... and the most recent NY-NJ toll increases (with more pending)supposedly based on Silverstein's WTC redevlopment needs----could have been avoided.
The alliance has filed dozens of Freedom of Information requests to obtain contracts related to the WTC redevelopment and how the lease of the site with developer Larry Silverstein changed.
“For reasons we don’t understand and have not been explained to us, Larry Silverstein was let out of the WTC lease,” the Twin Towers Alliance said.

I’ve said for years that the stewardesses should hand out short baseball bats to each passenger as they board. You know, the kind truckers use for “thumping” tires to get a quick pressure check.
Then as you leave the plane, turn you bat back in.
No worry about stray rounds hitting someone or whether or not the fuselage will explosively decompress when punctured, thereby killing everyone.

For one background check I had to get (among many) for clearance for a project at Chi's O'Hare Airport, I had to go to the the FBI's main office in the Federal Building in downtown Chicago for fingerprinting, ID photo taken, and then wait (while my existing FBI file was being double checked) for the Picture ID badge to be issued to me. So how Nigerian 'Jerry Thomas' got clearance baffles me.
Plus, I'm sure that 'Jerry Thomas' must have had a 'slight accent' (/s) that should have been a teeny tipoff he wasn't who he claimed to be.
