When George Zimmerman tries to convince a judge or a jury that he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense

George Zimmerman does not have to convince anybody of anything.

The State of Florida has to do the convincing, and that convincing has to meet all the elements of the crime of murder in the second degree, and it has to be convincing BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.

It is absolutely incomprehensible to me, staggering, really, that there is a prosecutor anywhere in this country who would take this case to a jury. Once reasonable doubt is introduced into the equation, how could ANYBODY believe that a conviction was possible?

The goal here is to make sure that anybody who defends himself is open to a civil lawsuit in which the thug and the thug’s family make $$$.
