Holy Crap!
Glad you’re above ground my FRiend.
Speaking of which, I went to the range today and shot the Kimber Solo again. Not one jam after 200 rounds so far. The laser is very cool.

I don’t love potty humor but I’ll tolerate a bit of it.

Still vertical and taking nourishment on my own. Had an "out of the body experience" that night; saw *the light* and turned around to come back to this side. Erie. Close call. S. Miami Hospital trauma ctr surgeon said "I was luckiest SOB he'd ever seen in 20yrs; God was truly sitting on my shoulder that night". Most people's guts are shredded by small cal rounds since they tumble, and they bleed-out quickly. The .32cal went straight-in, missed everything and stopped ¼-cm short of the spine. Got my CCW and .357Magnum next day after discharge from hospital. Carried ever since. Won't be a victim, twice.

Man! Rereading the thread, I missed disco chat :o( RIP Donna, and she was a conservative too.
I was first a bouncer at a disco in college, they asked nearly all the wresting team, then I got promoted to bartender...that was the late 70s early 80s. *sigh* Really fond memories. I'm a hardcore Rocker but yes the best disco song ever, Funky Town is still on my iPod.
THERE, I SAID IT!
And I have mucho Funk too...
To: advertising guy
Jeeze! Mags in her golf skit hitting out of the bunker or on the disco dance floor? Holy Moly!
To: Clint N. Suhks
“wresting team”? LOL!
wrestling team...
Stupid spell check!
To: Clint N. Suhks
you better wear a steel helmet...I said sumpthin like that and she took out her hammer and hit 4 of my knuckles
Had to pitch right handed....only lasted 4 innings
{ some of that is true}

“The laser is very cool.”
In bright sunlight, the iron sights - “in a fight, front sight” - are what’s operable; I’ve found that the laser is washed-out/useless. But on a cloudy or dark day, the laser is great. What’s your experience so far?

Yes, iron sights in full sunlight. But the Crimson Trace turns on automatically as soon as you put your fingers around the grip so it’s always there if you can see it. I would imagine most threats are at night, as was yours, and the laser puts you on target instantly without having to look down the iron sights. Close quarters makes it even more valuable.
“My experience”? Zero, and I hope it stays that way. I moved to Merryland in the late 90s and haven’t had a CCW since. But hopefully that will change with the latest federal ruling even though it will probably have to go before the Supremes.
To: Clint N. Suhks
I use a- red laser pen to perfect hand-eye coordination and quick-draw technique, off-range, and I don’t even both with the front sight if the threat’s under 15-20ft. I’m so accurate it’s scary. I have a pair of Crimson Trace grip-sights for my Kimber(s), but still haven’t installed them. They’re in storage, in the GunSafe.

Your welcome Fudd Fan! Good thing I checked the FR site before I left for a pasta night that was sponsored by my parish’s K of C, had given my word to a friend who is a member that I would go. Worked quickly to get TGO’s thread up quickly.
