“American accent “ you asked. Obamuzzie was young enough when he came back to Hawaii that he could have been coached out of any bad language habits he might have acquired in Indonesia. He went to Punahou, a private school, that teaches English and severly discourages the use of local dialects like Pidgeon English. He would have graduated speaking very neutral midwest style English. Having lived many years in HI I detect the occasional “localism” in Obamuzzies conversations but you have to know them to hear them. I know many Punahou grads and you have to know where they came from to figure that out by language alone. Just listening, they might be from Omaha.
--------------- But, maybe that is why he is so reliant on the teleprompter and why he uses a lot of “ums...errr....aaaah.
He also whistles a lot on his “s” especially when it is at the and of a sentence.
Not fair - he gets to live in Hawaii and become president. I don't have ambition to be president but I really, really want to go to Hawaii!

Anything you can tell us or do you just have to have the ear for it?
A clerk at an ice cream shop asked if I was Russian - now, that was different for this Southern Belle to hear!
