I wasn't into the disco scene when it was at its height of popularity but I thought she did a good job on the cover version “MacArthur Park.”

I wasn't into the disco scene when it was at its height of popularity but I thought she did a good job on the cover version MacArthur Park. I put a CD with the original "MacArthur Park" in my car CD player, and said to my son "here's a song I used to be obsessed with when I was in high school."
I hit "Play," and in two seconds his eyes lit up. "Dumbledore!" he exclaimed.

Much better than the original! Yikes! I hate that song.
I never knew Donna had covered “MacArthur Park”. I don’t remember hearing it as a child. But since I knew well the original, I thought “oh God, it must be awful; how could she do that?” Finally heard it a few years ago. At least she and disco made it tolerable.
