What are Hispanics, but an artificially concocted ‘minority’ ethnic group that consist in large part of white Europeans of Spanish and sometimes Portuguese ancestry. If these “white Hispanics”, e.g. the Cameron Diazs or Ken Salazars, are included, then what happens to the numbers?
Additionally, at what point do mixed-race individuals become “white”? My infant son is 3/4 white, 1/4 Korean. Was he a white birth or a minority birth?
Excellent points. I also have to wonder how many more people are checking the “mixed race” box on various government forms since checking the “white” box has become the equivalent of wearing a “kick me” sign.

Ummm...for the most part, new Hispanics are Mexican. Poor Mexicans. With the values of poor people in Mexico who are suddenly being given money by their friends in the government.
Food stamps. Medicaid. Housing assistance. And if you want more money, have more babies...
