In fact Russians admitted both a crime and a responsibility of their top leadership long time ago.
For a known reason there is noone left alive to be brought to trial.
For some else reason Poland want to have this tragic event as a center of it’s international policy after so many years.

To me it is a nasty minority mentality, kinda LGBT and racial minorities lusting some kind or affirmative action out of a guilt complex of either party.
Main point: Poland is barely a victim. It was a jackal crushed by a bear in process of looting. Why noone mentions the fact Poland was allied to Hitler too prior to Russian invasion and it was happy to invade Chekhoslovakia along with Germans to grab land and kill people?
As for Stalin he was among the first to stand to nazy backing republicans in Spain against nationalist backed by Hitler. In 1938 USSR offered France and Britain an alliance to attack Hitler and it wasn’t accepted.
He had no choice but to sign a pact with nazy to get some time.
I’m not about to find any excuse for this crime but you have to see things as is to avoid bias.
