I will admit it took guts to post this. Although I don’t agree with the thrust of your post, I also don’t agree with Freepers who vilify you for doing so.

“.....the Republican Party is a monstrosity beyond repair, and that is by design. (The Democratic Party is not quite as bad.)”

That statement alone, discredits everything else.

The platforms and aims of these two parties are different, and saying the dems are better is hardly “conservative.”

All 80 socialists in the House are democrats, in case nobod notices in these days of GOP bashing, here.

I’m voting against Obama, his czars, judicial appointments, executive orders, race-baiting and everything else this commie stands for. Nothing good has come from the Obama experiment. I’ll vote Romney and I won’t need to pinch my nose. NOTHING can be worse that what we have right now.

Romeny DID NOT say he will repeal Obamacare- only “the more onerous parts of it”

That is a DIRECT QUOTE from Romney on Hannity’s Show- even Hannity missed the weasel words as if he didn’t hear them

I don't like Romney. I truly wish there were a viable alternative. Sadly, there isn't. I gave money to both Cain and Newt. It galls me to have to be forced to vote for a younger McCain... but, damn it – I will for him for one reason: Obama needs to go. As bad as Romney may be, he is still better than the current occupier of the white house.

You are, of course, absolutely right.

And you will, of course, be absolutely ignored by the majority of the fake “conservatives” around here.

Second, you cannot “take over” the Republican machine and turn it into something in decent....

This is exactly what the so-called "e" want people to believe. The 'machine' is a business and has the same need of any business, profit and customers (not necessarily in that order). We can't do a thing about any political machine until one wakes up and realizes this simple fact. Businesses can be manipulated by customers if the customers so choose. As long as we keep looking at it as just some smokey back-room cabal with no ends or means other than power, we can't do a thing. If we think of them as a business and focus accordingly, we can influence them.

Of course, we can't do a damn thing if we don't have power first. If we don't have that, we are nothing more than coffee-shop philosophers.

In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might.- Winston Churchill

So if not voting, wasting your vote on a third party candidate is the way to go, one might as well give up on the political process and hunker down or leave the country.
Obama will destroy the republic and it will never be restored. If you feel that Romney and Obama are equally bad, fine. But instead of exhorting people not to vote for Romney, spend your efforts on a prepper post or ways to escape the US.

Politics is a team sport.

My son did not make the school team, but I take him to the games and cheer on the team anyway.

I have always said that Obama is so evil that I will vote for anyone the RNC puts forward.

The writer of this article may have had a bad experience with his state GOP party, but here in Wisconsin we conservatives like and have influence in our state GOP party.

The GOP nationally is more than than the RNC and some RINO candidates, it also is a lot of state and county parties and individuals who respect American conservative political and family values. A lot of us did not have Romney as our first choice, but will go for him in November as Obama must be stopped. We will then hold Romney’s and our elected GOP reprs. feet to the fire to shift and hold them to the right course to save our country for our selves and our kids.

Just don’t vote for Romney (D-Mass.), the hood ornament of the Republican spending machine. You will regret it.

What I'll regret with 4 more years of Obama is a guaranteed tax increase and the installment of uber leftest Supreme Court Justices.

ANYBODY but Obama when I walk into the voting booth..

The writer diagnoses the Romney Republican disease pretty well, and then offers up a fatal dose of pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Gary Johnson as the “cure.” All I can do is shake my head in disbelief.
