MK Aryeh Eldad on Wednesday criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's letter to Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas in the Knesset plenum.
The letter should have included the fact that the resolution of the conflict lies with the possibility the Jordan will become the PA homeland when the Palestinian Arabs overthrow King Abdullah," he said.
Eldad has dueled in recent years with Jordanian King Abdullah II's decision to abandon the Hashemite Monarchy's position that Jordan is the true 'Palestinian State.'
In 2011, Abdullah rejected the long-held formula of the Hashemite monarchy that "Jordan is Palestine," saying "The so-called 'substitute homeland' exists only in the minds of the weak."
Abdullah, responding to comments by Eldad, told reporters "the Jordanian option is an illusion. Jordan is Jordan, and Palestine is Palestine."
Eldad responded saying "It is better Abdullah announce today that Jordan is the national homeland for the Palestinians or else seek asylum in London."
Critics of Eldad say his push for a return to the Jordan is Palestine is well-founded in a historical and legal sense - King Hussein I asserted in 1981 that "Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan" - but fails to take into account the geopolitical reality of Abdullah's flat opposition.
However, Eldad's position has evolved.... .....

This is what I have believed for years, that Jordan is the real Palistine.
The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism. The Philistines died out as a distinct people many centuries ago. These so-called Palestinians of today are Arabs, descended from Ishmael, while the actual Jordanians are still the descendants of Moab and Ben-Ammi.
For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.
To be honest, I do not even remember who Zuheir Mohsen was to begin with.
He was the leader of the pro-Syrian faction of the PLO, called Al-Sa’iqa. Also a member of the Ba’ath Party in Jordan before he was exiled. Killed in 1979 in Cannes, France; the anti-Israel types usually blame Mossad, but other suspects include Iraq (Saddam had just taken over) and Abu Nidal (founder of Fatah).

“Jordan” is short for “Trans-Jordan” or “Trans-Jordanian Palestine.” This was the original title of the Kingdom of Jordan.
Abdullah established his government on 11 April 1921. Britain administered the part west of the Jordan as Palestine, and the part east of the Jordan as Transjordan.
On May 15, 1923, Britain formally recognized the Emirate of Transjordan as a state under the leadership of Emir Abdullah.
On May 25, 1946, the Transjordanian parliament proclaimed Abdullah king, while officially changing the name of the country from the Emirate of Transjordan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
IN OTHER WORDS, JORDAN IS PALESTINE!
Not only that, but from 1948 to 1953, Jordan occupied Judah and Samaria, renaming it The West Bank, and from 1953 to 1967, it unilaterally annexed it, changing its name from Transjordan to simply Jordan. The international community’s reaction to these acts registered 1 on the Richter Scale.

1922 - Final territory assigned to the Jewish National Home
The world's response? The 1948 partition!
I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land. (Joel 3:2)
Those maps are misleading. They give the impression that they represent the borders assigned to a Jewish homeland. That is incorrect. They show the borders of the British Mandate for Palestine in 1918 (the first map) and in 1922 (the second map) after the British split the zone into two administrative areas (Palestine and Trans-Jordan).
The putative Jewish National Home was to be created somewhere WITHIN those maps but the frontiers of it were never defined in either 1920 or 1922.
They are not misleading... if you take the time to read the captions.
Yes, I read the part in the second map which says that the area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River has the label “Jewish Palestine” and “23%” and in the accompanying text it states that “The territory of Jewish Palestine has been reduced by 77% of the original Mandate.”
The maps give areas that are supposedly assigned to a Jewish Homeland. In 1918 and 1922, there was no such thing as Jewish Palestine. It was called The British Mandate for Palestine. The exact area of the proposed Jewish Homeland was undefined, merely that it could be located in some part of either Mandatory Palestine or in the Trans-Jordan Mandate.
As I said earlier, misleading.
