More than twice as many votes cast in the GOP Senate primary. Looks good, though the Dem race wasn’t as hotly contested I guess. Speaking of the Dems I think that Chuck Hassebrook guy really got treated badly, especially after Kerrey told him he would not run, and that he would support Hassebrook! Then days later Kerrey changed his mind. Shows he can’t keep his word.

Deb Fischer seems to be pulling away now. Could be quite a victory for Tea Party forces. I just hope she is strong for the general election.

It’s still very close with over 60% reporting, but momentum seems to be on Fischer’s side. She currently leads by about 3,200 votes (2.5%).

She polls way ahead of Kerrey in preliminary polls. It should be a cake walk for her if she wins the primary. And you guys are right—big kudos for Palin for this one. It’s still early, but I’m beginning to feel better about this race now.
