Why would God want an individual to rise to the highest office in the land, if he will lead the people in rebellion against God himself?

You and God seem pretty close ......What was he thinking when Obama was inaugurated?

woofie asks, "What was he thinking when Obama was inaugurated?"

The thoughts that would go through the Mind of God if Willard M. Romney were to be inaugerated, would be about the same as when Obama was inaugerated. There would not be much difference. They are both rebels against his Will.

In both cases, the American people would have to face the consequences of their decision to elect another individual who is in a state of rebellion Against God.

In both cases, the machinery of the Law would start moving in the direction of making those consequences felt.

Every trend of deterioration that we face today, would be accelerated whether Obama were re-elected, or if Romney were elected.

However, the consequences would be worse if Romney were re-elected, as this represents the Republican Party being pulled into the shadow of overt rebellion, where before it tried to stand on the outside of that shadow. If Romney were to be elected therefore, the deterioration trends would accelerate at a higher degree, than if Obama were re-elected.

Again, if Obama were re-elected, deterioration trends would accelerate, because the American people would have again elected an individual who stands for rebellion against God. Each choice has its consequences. But Romney's election would be a higher degree of acceleration because this represents an increase in the total number of people who voted for rebellion against God's Law. That is to say, an increase in the number of people who say, we don't care about God's Law.

God sent his Prophets to give us the law, so that we could predict before hand, and fairly accurately, the consequences of our actions.

What is God thinking? God is always thinking about fulfilling his Law, and fulfilling his promises. He is always thinking about making sure that every promise he has made us, will be kept in full. If he says, If you do "A" I will do "B", then when we do "A" God will instantly start thinking about, and implementing "B". It is fairly simple.

God is always thinking about how to give us the best possible gifts, as we are his children, but those gifts can only be given if we make ourselves ready to receive them. Therefore, the Mind of God is always engaged in planning and acting to help to move his children into the place where they can receive His best gifts. This is quite an activity, as there are more than 5 billion people on this planet alone. One of the most important criteria for receiving the greatest gifts of God, is the freewill choice to study the law, know the law, and to align one's life with the Law.

The Mind of God has these thoughts not just about individuals, but about the nations to which they are a part, and about the planet, which is the vehicle of expression for the nations, and the solar system which is the framework for the existence and ongoing operation of this planet.
