SANFORD, Fla.
WFTV has confirmed that autopsy results show 17-year-old Trayvon Martin had injuries to his knuckles when he died.
The information could support George Zimmerman's claim that Martin beat him up before Zimmerman shot and killed him.
The autopsy results come as Zimmerman's attorney, Mark OMara continues to go over other evidence in the case.
OMara wouldn't comment on the autopsy evidence, but WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said it's better for the defense than it is for the prosecution.
WFTV has learned that the medical examiner found two injuries on Martins body: The fatal gunshot wound and broken skin on his knuckles.
When you compare Trayvons non-fatal injury with Zimmerman's bloody head wounds, the autopsy evidence is better for the defense, Sheaffer said.
It goes along with Zimmerman's story that he acted in self-defense, because he was getting beaten up by Trayvon Martin, Sheaffer said.
The injury to Martins knuckle also fits with Zimmerman's story that before he shot and killed Martin, Martin had broken his nose and knocked him to the ground, slamming his head on the sidewalk.

CNN's totally unbiased Rev Al Sharpton (AKA Race Baiter) - will be pushing your idea soon. Lucky for him the MSM will believe anything that drops from the mouth of a democrat black ... no matter how silly, stupid or self serving.
Defence team should easily paint this perp as a gangbanger. And possibly prove he was involved in the burglaries in the area - if they get access to all the police data.
But I know the judges and juries in Seminole County!
Consider that Martin only had his bare knuckles, no boxing gloves, no brass knuckles, yet he was able to fracture the bones in Zimmerman’s nose with just his bare hands. That takes quite a bit of force and rage, if you ask me.
But Martin didn’t KNOW that Zimmerman was armed, so from his thug perspective, he could beat the bleep out of Zimmerman, confident that no one would recognize him in the dusky light with that hood pulled over his head. After beating Zimmerman he could very easily get lost in one of the many entrances of the complex or just duck into his father’s apartment.
Wish I were wealthy enough to buy the best attorney for Zimmerman, and a really nice house(s) for him and his family with 24-hour protection.
Happy dance news!
Judge got so “moved” he combined the case with the Leon County case under the Hon Sanders Saul... and we all know the outcome there.
:)
Seminole County, were as late as the 1920s they still hung comdemmed murders at the County Jail before they had chance to mess with this “endless appeal” nonsense, where the biggest RC parish is named Mary Magdalen because the parish house was donated by a very successful retiring madam, and the Klan (which I despise) is still somewhat active.
A few years ago our in-house attorney passing by while I was having a discussion about the court system. He came back and said something like “if you think there is actually justice.... I have a bridge”. I thanked him for killing my next to last illusion.
If Zimmerman does not want to sue, I am there will be plenty of people in his family who will urge him to after all of the grief that they to have suffered. Oh yeah, that is true, his family would have standing to sue the media since they caused the angry mob to turn on them as well, the Zimmerman family has also been subject to death threats.
This is going to be one major public relations nightmare for the forces of political correctness. I wonder how the media are going to cover the lawsuits against them?
The administration and the race industry have far too much invested in this charade. The DOJ is talking fed charges. If anything they’ll double down.
They need a mau mau campaign in time for Nov.
Is indeed, being a variant of Thrusting my nose firmly between his teeth, I threw him heavily to the ground on top of me (Mark Twain).
I found it on the net. I don’t know if it’s photoshopped but on the other hand it could be real being that Newsweek outed Obama as a homo gay plus he’s a Marxist.
Post of the Day.
That was a mistake by a couple of Obama's peeps who were working temporarily as story editors.
They have since quietly resigned to spend more time with their parole officers.
NBC played it smart - they fired the people responsible. A few years ago that would have worked. Zimmerman will be able to prove NBC has created a corporate environment that allows - encourages - lies to be told - so long as those lies are restricted to groups NBC deems 'outcasts'. People like conservatives - or any one or group that stood up to the dominate liberal culture.
In pre-World War II Germany it was OK to lie about Jews - but not OK to lie about Germans. In the fifties south it was OK to lie about blacks, but not OK to lie about whites.
That's what Zimmerman has to prove - that NBC has a pattern... The press will be dragged kicking and screaming into covering the issue... should be worthy of popcorn...
Funeral Director Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale apparently didn’t realize the autopsy report on Martin would be made public at some point in time, especially since he knew there would be a trial.
His friends probably call him Dick.
(Did I type that out loud?)
The picture is photo-shopped.
You tell me...when was it that in full view of media cameras Obama and Chavez did THIS??
And tell me why if they did and it was captured, why the real photo wasn’t all over everywhere all the time, from day one??
Second point...Newsweek wasn’t accusing Obama of being gay. Bill Clinton was called the first Black President, but he wasn’t actually Black. The Newsweek cover was done in that same vein.
Also this week, someone called Obama the first female President. Would that make you think they really were calling Obama a woman and somehow had proof of it??
People, people, people...
Obama is bad enough without our side going haywire.
The Photoshopped pic of Obama kissing Chavez comes from a Benetton ad:
