the Tea Party movement really isnt about making the GOP a more conservative party; its about making what is already a conservative party more obstinate, unyielding and hostile to Democrats. A surprise victory by Sarah Palins candidate today would help that cause.That's true only if you define being "conservative" as saying you're conservative and then signing your name onto liberal legislation. Yes, the Tea Party is about actually being conservative, not just paying lip service to it.

So you prefer Loud, Looney and Losers? There is only one Tea Party candidate who has won a state-wide vote, Senator Paul. This is not a conservative electorate. AT BEST 30% are really conservative no matter what they tell pollsters. This is why Democrats are elected in huge numbers.
