I have very serious reservations about Mitt Romney. I think he is way closer to Harry Reid than he is to Ronald Reagan. He is from the Bush/Rockefeller/Dewey wing of the party which has presented every nominee for the GOP in my lifetime, except for two: Goldwater in 1964 and Reagan in 1980 and 1984.
We will have to hold his feet to the fire and keep him accountable. But he's still way better than the Marxist thug in the white hut.
One of the things which will enable me to hold my nose and vote for him is just thinking about the stark raving mad hissy fit these religious bigots will have should he defy the odds and actually be elected.
It came to me in the mail yesterday. A glossy flyer from RomneyCo. A bunch of fake plastic banana pictures of Americana and platitudes about the heartland.
But you know what, even if he's a total fraud lying about it, damnit, I want to hear the President saying that kind of thing about morning in America. We need a cheerleader not a destroyer like Obama.
Even if he doesn't do anything he's saying, and is just saying it to garner favor with conservatives, at least he's saying it.
Obama's not sending me anything because his campaign knows I'm no friend of theirs.
