May 12, 2012 JC Penney Features Same-Sex Couple in May Catalogue
Fifteen years ago, when advertisers got wind that Ellen DeGeneres was going to come out on her popular sitcom show Ellen, some advertisers fled.
One of them was JC Penney. Flash forward to one of their newest clothing ads in the May catalog. It features a real-life same-sex couple. The photograph is of two models identified as Wendi and Maggie holding their two daughters. Both women appear be wearing wedding bands.
Quietly, gradually and largely without protest, advertising is starting to reflect new attitudes and new realities about who we are. Our cultures change and I think the broader consumer and the spending power in the country has become more progressive, Eric Bovim, CEO of the ad firm Gibraltar Associates said.
There are gay couples on prime-time television shows, and now gay couples are coming out of Madison Avenues closet, which, according to Bovim, gives way to a new target audience.
I think companies that are successful in marketing nowadays are trying to appeal to a progressive customer, Bovim said. They understand that customers are looking for social values, community, visionary aspirations. These are things that they buy into.
Another previously unseen group in advertisements that now is appearing more and more is interracial couples, reflecting the rising number of mixed-race marriages in the United States.
Advertisers are sending different subliminal messages.

Right on. Although just a small (but growing) percentage of the population, these sadists have fat wallets. Having conquered Hollywood, the mainstream media and their reporters, received acceptance in faux “Christian” religious groups, school curriculum, academic and the professions, and have gotten the nod from the White House, they have planted their iconic rainbow flag in Silicon Valley and are now moving on to infiltrate reputable businesses.
There is a direct correlation between incompetent management of a company and stupid decisions.
This week we have lackluster-results JC Penney with lesbian models and about-to-go-bankrupt Best Buy being a platinum sponsor for the Muslims.
Both stupid decisions done by incompetent management.
Won’t shop at Penny’s, won’t shop at Target. And I spread the word.

If 'who we are' i.e. the homosexual population as a percentage of the general population holds steady (and since they don't procreate by definition) then how does this equate to 'change?'
Once again, the militants lack consistency. If being straight or gay is equally valid then why or how would promotion of homosexuality represent 'progress?'
Why even bother anymore? How do we even keep up with this stuff?
Several months back there were threads on FR saying to shop at Stabucks because they supported the 2nd amendment. Then threads not to shop at Starbucks for some other reason.
Same with Lowes. Threads on FR saying to shop there because Home Depot supported the Homo movement. So I go to Lowes 2 weekends in a row and their were Girls Scouts in the lobby selling cookies and then there were threads to boycott Lowes .

The sex deviates of both persuasions will not admit that they cannot reproduce without an opposite sex donor, which means their "adopted" or "donated" child is NEVER the product of two of the same sex.

Perhaps that is why they are 'changing' to JCP...another of Ellen's 'suggestions'..?
My sister is a vet and the school she went to is now about 80-85% female. I suspect most of the schools are going that route. Family farms are going away(men vet's normally did this-now less demand) and small animal practice is where the demand is which is popular with women.
That could explain the women veterinarians.. But the the home shows are definitely way out of proportion.
They will learn. The hard way.
