muckrakers fed the story to the MSM and they lapped it up like the willing lapdogs they are.

For just a few minutes I'd like to believe that somebody at the Washington Post, surely SOMEBODY, felt a tad small that this newspaper of Woodward and Bernstein, the newspaper that brought down a President, last week ran a story about a 60 year old man's adolescent exploit of allegedly cutting some kid's hair....

I gotta believe that somebody at the Washington Post, even if the janitor, felt ashamed that a once so august newspaper engaged in such a silly, such an obvious....media dance at the command of an administration who sneers all over them.

For just a few minutes I want to believe that humiliation does have some level, surely SOME level, where it becomes too much.

After those few minutes when I'm going to believe that there's still some pride somwhere....then they will passed over into willing lapdogs.

Just wanting to be nice here.

Oh the WaPo Ombudsman already proclaimed this story as “deeply researched” or some such. The problem is it is “false” and 50 years ago, while Bambi’s own voice talks about how he bullied a fat black girl, smoked crack, ate dogs, etc. The moral relativism and double standard are astonishing.

I feel the same way. You would think there is a point where even the press would say enough is enough.
