The fact that he could not deny it, and apologized, spoke volumes, you don’t forget if you were that violent toward people or not.

B*llsh*t! It was nearly 50 years ago. The kids relatives say they never heard about it and he would have told them. He probably doesn’t remember because it didn’t happen. He wouldn’t say it didn’t happen because we don’t remember every little thing we did 50 years ago. Even if it did happen he probably thought it was harmless fun. In today’s hyper-sensitive PC environment libs are trying to make a big deal out of it but at the time it would have been very forgettable, at least for Romney and his buds.

I guess I’m about his age, and I sure remember stuff. In fact I was peripherally involved in a very similar hair cutting incident. I went to a private school, and I heard that something was up in a dorm, and I went over there. There were a bunch of guys that I knew there, and I asked what was going on, and I got the “Oh nothing” answers and I left, not wanting to be involved. In fact, they were going to shave some kid’s head, and ended up just cutting a swath up the back ( as it transpired. ) We all got called in and were told that we faced punishment up to and including expulsion, and when the teacher ( I do remember his name ) finished his statement, I spoke up and said, “I just want to say I didn’t have anything to do with this.” He said, “Why we have you down here as the instigator of the whole thing.” ( Because I was seen coming and going, you see. ) All the other guys vouched for me though, and I was off the hook. Later I saw my wrestling coach, and the only thing he wanted to know was how I got all those other guys to lie for me.

... so yeah, I’m sure he remembers the whole thing.

Please that is ridiculous I do not think it was violent
cutting someones hair and I think if he apologized it is a good thing. Have you even done any thing 40 or 50 years ago that maybe you might think it in bad taste now? I know
for myself I did some things in my early teens that I thought were funny but as I look back at them they were not so nice or funny.
I made a crank phone call to a funeral home and said that my husband had died and they came out to the address I gave them it was the neighbors across the street from my Grandma’s house I got in big trouble for that but I thought it was funny I was 13 and I am sorry I did that now.

A haircut really isn’t “violence” in my book.
