I wanted to search back to this thread so that I could say that I stopped consuming starches and grains a week ago and I’ve lost over 13 pounds. Some may say, that’s mostly water weight, but I say the water weight was necessary for the extra metabolic processing required by the massive loads of carbo. And I’m not going back.

Yes, I would agree. 13 pounds is amazing! I struggle to get 1 lb off in a week of skipping suppers, but I am having carbs too. I think at a certain point the body realizes it has some fat cells and no longer needs the same water balance.

And bravo to the ‘not going back’, same here. I am running(actually doing wind sprints) at least once a week, and I go through a light-weight high rep major muscle group work out, it takes about 35 minutes, and I don’t worry so much about the smaller muscles because they will be used some and won’t fall far behind. It also will maximize the circulation, thus discarding more waste.
