So that’s all you had was the juice, all day long? I drink my vegetable juice every day, but I haven’t lost any weight, I suppose because I still have been eating dinner. I’m starting to realize, though, that my addiction to carbos is just that - an addiction. Every night I have such brave hopes not to carbo load, and then I lay down for 45 minutes and pop up out of bed and head for the fridge, all my plans out the window in the early sleep state.
Watch the movie, “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” It’s all about juicing. I just had vegetable and fruit juices for 60 days. All day, every day. Not smoothies, but juice. It gives you all of the nutrition that you need while expending all of your digestive energy on burning fat. I am not a nutritionist or doctor, but just an average fat Joe that needed to turn my life around.
I AM someone who has tried nearly every diet I could think of. This is the only diet that has actually worked while encouraging not just myself, but my whole family to eat more fruits and vegetables and to “think health.” I haven’t had junk food or fast food in almost 3 full months. I walk 3.6 miles at least 4-5 days a week. Staying healthy and active is now a lifestyle for me and my family.
As far as meals go, I cook with mostly vegetables and poultry. I’m not going extreme vegan, but have just learned to limit my excessive meat intake. I have cut out most white carbs, like bread, rice and potatoes. If I do have a bread or grain, it’s brown rice, couscous or whole grain pita/flat bread, and then only in limited amounts.
