I agree with you.....From my personal experiences with Chinese people, the only bad thing I can say about them is that they work too darn hard and they're over achievers....LOL!
As a side note, I found a great chinese food take out by my house. It's just a small hole in the wall space in a strip mall and the owner, Mr. Wing, is a tiny funny guy who is filled with energy. During the winter months he has no heat in his place and the poor kids who work for him by answering the phone and tending the cash register freeze in the front of his store.
The guy came here from China back in the early 70's, and for years had a place in Detroit until he was forced out by crime.
I once asked him about his family and he told me that his wife now suffers from dementia, he has three daughters, the youngest is currently a student at Michigan State University, the older two are graduates from MSU also and now live and work in New York.........
I have nothing but respect for this guy and the kids who work for him. He only has one helper per day, one kid is a college student at the local community college and the girl with purple hair is only a tenth grader who has three different jobs - one in a day care facility, another as a pet sitter and this one working for Mr. Wing. From these kids it's always yes sir, no sir, and thank you...Whether it's Mr. Wing's influence or not, it's still refreshing to hear.
Very cool. I hope Mr. Wing and his business thrive.
