Wimps. Scared of a girl.

No. No more than the 90% of males in the 1950s and earlier who would have taken the same position. The most of girls of those eras would not have been too impressed with a girl playing on the boys team either.

You may not share those values, but it is disingenuous to try to taunt them into abandoning them.

It is funny, Freepers blast gay marriage, lesbian nuns and any other social issue they deem offensive but God forbid a School stands on its charter and principals in keeping male and female activities separate. Nobody is denying girls can play sports and be outstanding athletes, it is a question of co-ed sports and school policy. Somebody stands on their principals and gets blasted. Best goalie I ever had was a female, tough as nails and not bad looking (adult competition) she was rejected by a coach that only wanted men despite the tournament being co-ed. She was named goalie of the tournament. Girls have game, there is no doubt. But, this is matter of principal and policy.
