Let's take the reverse argument and make all scholastic and collegiate sports co-ed; no more boys & girls and men's & women's teams. Males may play on the (formerly) female-only field hockey, tennis, golf, swimming, water polo, gymnastics, basketball, track, cross country, and softball teams. When individual males or teams with males as members begin winning all the state and national championships, how long will it take followers of the post-modern social construct to protest the unfairness of it all?
It *is* about destruction of the family and cultural norms that underpin our society and protect our divinely-received rights as defined and guaranteed in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and Federalist Papers. Girls are boys, boys are girls, women are men, men are women, good is evil, evil is good, there is no God, there are no God-given rights, only the state that dishes out privileges and goodies, and then takes them away when we've been bad.
More than once, opposing fans would say, "Hey, who's that, she's cute, etc etc etc". I (and others) would suggest that they go on over and talk to "her". LOL!
As for myself, there's NO WAY you'd get me to go out on a field holding a bunch of angry women armed with clubs. Talk about a disaster waiting for a place to happen.
however, if this girl is good enough to play and be a starter, than she should play...baseball is not a contact sport as much as hockey or football.
...and it sounds like she was very accomodating to the other school during the regular season..
Afraid of girls? Wait until they are married. The whole sliding with your spikes up is a skill set they will need.
(Metaphorically of course....)
“Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls.”
Then respect her efforts and ability to work hard enough to be in a position to play in a championship game which you are now depriving her off because of YOUR weakness.
I believe the real reason they wouldn’t play them is because girls have cooties. It’s a well known fact.

I think the school’s stance is based on higher principles than “boy vs girl.” I applaud them for not bowing to the popular culture.
An analogy might be a president of a country bowing to what some perceive to be public pressure (a false perception) to endorse same sex so-called marriage or civil unions.
Boys aren’t girls and girls aren’t boys. Each is physically and mentally different. Attempting to trick up some high school or college or military scenario to show that there is no difference in the sexes is nonsensical and something straight out of the marxist handbook.
without looking this thread will cull the what culture war? moderates out
btw...there is yet another anti freeper site for you guys out there in the succession of klowns and wideawakes and pachyderms and all that
already with teeming with moderates and psuedos
if they can take their minds off applauding Obama’s gay crap they would welcome FR’s disgruntled gender equalizer crowd I’d reckon
Who cares? The school has a set of rules and stuck to them. The quality of both teams in the league is so far inferior to the regular high school baseball leagues that this story is ridiculously stupid. How many girls play on varsity baseball teams in Arizona?
My son plays baseball, and his team did not have a field for practice one day. The coaches decided to ask the softball coaches if they would like to scrimmage on the softball field. The boys won. Of course. It was a slaughter. The girls were accustomed to winning by 20+ points against their regular opponents. The boys were not allowed to pitch. And they did not play their regular positions. But they all had fun.
