A lot of people had their hair cut off in the 60s and it didn’t have anything to do with them being a fag. Maggot-infested hippies had a hell of time in Arizona during the 60s until the finally outnumbered the cowboys here and we just couldn’t keep up. This is just more whiney, commie lib bull****.
I did not personally participate either, but it sound like you also know quite a few people which did. Is that correct?
People who didn't live through that era have to understand that America was at war in the mid 1960's and still (mostly) united against the hippie trash who burned our flags, denounced our troops and exhibited over the top anti-social behavior which is now considered normal.
I was just a young lad then, but this type of prank was supported by most of us until at least the mid-1970's in the more conservative backbone areas of the country. Interracial friendships between cowboys and Indians wasn't all that unusual either. I counted quite a few friends on both sides of the aisle and still do.
A lot of our fathers (including mine) came home from World War II with a new found respect for their fellow Americans, regardless of color. I really think that is what moved not only fostered movements like Dr. Martin Luther King, but encouraged a lot of personal friendships between Indians and whites where we were in close proximity in Rocky Mountain and Great Plains states.
