The majority of American Jews are mostly liberal because many of the people who refused to hire them, associate with, or who discriminated against them were the rich, east coast elitists who were mostly Republican "conservatives." Of course, the Klan and other hate groups who were mostly composed of Democrats also oppressed Jews, but their numbers were a lot less where most Jews lived: large, northern cities.

So many early Jewish immigrants identified rich (and not so rich) Republicans as their oppressors. I would think that image has never changed, even as many Jews moved into the ranks of the well-off.

Jews arrived here as liberal, and remained so, they always have and do serve as the cadre and leadership, intellectuals and funders for the left, they were not shaped by America, instead, they have refused to allow America to pull them into our natural Protestant conservatism.

We are hoping that they will change, not that they will revert to something.
