I haven’t watched Bill O’Reilly since 2004 when he said the Swift Boat vets had no right to be heard. I can’t imagine why any conservative would.

No, because you have to put it in context, Lovitz replied, specifying that hes a comedian, I have to say (even though I probably agree with stuff he said about 0bama, although probably not the terminology), I tire of people hiding behind the "comedian" label who use all the finesse of a jackhammer in a sandbox when dealing with politics and claim "comedy" when they commit the second sin of not even being funny about it. (And "foul" just makes it worse.)
It's right there with newspeople who can't decide if they're reporters or commentators or editorializers, or all of the above at the same time.

If you read the whole article, Jon Lovitz caves in to O’Reilly. Another worthless “entertainer.”

O’Reilly is Mr PC. He is arrogant, pompous, and annoying.
I make it a habit to not watch his show because he is a loudmouth and believes his opinion is the only one with merit. In short, he is an idiot not worth my time.

An old Navy E-9 Chief Petty Officer told me when I was an Ensign that “you had to give respect to receive it.”. While I greatly respect a Commanding Officer position, if he or she (now) didn’t deserve respect I couldn’t give it to the person!

In an ensuing segment after the Lovitz film clip, Dennis Miller put O'Reilly right in his place when defending his (Miller's) comedian friend Lovitz.
There was visible enmity between the two on the subject....but after saying his piece Miller backed off rather than fight with the host. The segment was very tense, in my opinion.
An unsmiling Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia Attorney General, also lambasted O'Reilly tonight in regards to the Norfolk racial beating and O'Reilly's week-long reportage of same. There was also thinly veiled hostility in the interaction between the two.
All in all, not a very good night for the Bloviator who is used to having his own way and the last word on everything.

OReilly agreed, but noted that in todays day and age, everythings instantly shared online. Even though hes sympathetic, he said, I want the presidency, the office to be respected. I dont want those people using those kinds of terms to describe any president. Do you see my point?
I don't see his point, no. A comedian unleashing profanity about the president - any president - in a stand-up act in a private club for the amusement of customers who paid to hear him is not a problem. Wasn't when the target was Bush or Palin, isn't now. O'Reilly is making a silly argument in a vain attempt to win "fairness" points from liberals who've never worried about things like fairness.

Why don’t they replace Ted Baxter with Laura Ingrahm she is 3 times smarter and a true conservative.
