Can you go through an agent?
When we used to fly, my brother’s friend was a travel agent, and he did all that stuff for us.
It’s understandable that flying would be much more expensive in the obam-economy. Energy costs “necessarily skyrocketed.”

I have been working on these tix since 8:30AM, and now on hold with UA for the past 45 minutes, because I found, locked-in and paid for a bargain pair of tickets, but have yet to receive the confirmation number. I received the confirmation number for the other pairs within nano-seconds.
Nowadays, it takes playing with departure and return dates to find the bargains, but bargains can be found. I managed to find last year’s prices and the bargain tix are below.
