Mitt Romney Will Do Just Fine, Thank-You [insulting the intelligence of the base is madness]

The upcoming election will be one of the simplest of our lifetimes. It is defined by one axiom: Obama must be defeated.

[HUGE SNIP of must-read article]

So let us put away all thoughts of strife and disagreement. All wishful thinking and illusions. The real world beckons. There is no place for the ideal in this conflict. We will have other and better opportunities. For good or ill, Romney is the man of the hour. The only thing of importance is to defeat Obama and everything he stands for. The polls, the shifting attitudes of the country as a whole, and the stark fear arising among the progressives suggest that Romney can do the job. Lets us gird our loins and go amongst them.

So which guy are you comparing to Al Gore?

Rick Snyder. He supports wind farms, High speed rail, socialized medicine, and figures that the best way to ease the tax burden on the rich is to dump it on the rest of us in the form of gas taxes. And by the way, if you don't have a college degree, chances are that you'll never work again so you better hurry up and die.

I think if Romney is elected in November, he will be known as the Accidental President.

The GOP leadership is trying to pull off a trifecta, a super-hat-trick.

One, as long as the economy's in the tank, they don't want the Presidency. They want to avoid the blame and scapegoat the Democrats. Which is pretty brash, since they are the guys who went along with Phil "Bankers' Boy" Gramm in repealing Glass-Steagall and unleashing the Wall Street orgy.

Two, they want Obamacare as much as Obama and Nancy Pelosi want it -- but they want to scapegoat, again, and blame the Democrats and stand around saying "well, we tried" and "you know we gave it our all ..." and crap like that, when they were complicit as hell and guilty as hell about the passage of that giant POS. They helped it pass for their Fortune 500 CEO's who've been screaming bloody murder for 15 years for a way to dump their employee healthcare plans. Well, Obama's their Judas goat -- both parties' Judas goat. He and his Communist thugs got the bill through with maladroit legislative leger-de-Mace, and everyone else can pretend innocence, especially on the Republican side.

Three, Obama's vast crimes and derelictions, his imposture as a U.S. citizen (he may not even be one!), and all the rest, will be swept under the rug. The current Republican leadership will no more investigate or drag Obama out into the sunlight than George W. Bush did Bill Clinton, who was a Manchurian candidate, a traitor, a rapist, and many times a felon, even selling presidential pardons and stealing everything that wasn't nailed down as he and his wretched consort cankled out the door.

Mitt Romney won't touch Obama's crimes -- he'll limp-leg us like Dubya did, with some Karl Rove b.s. about how we need to keep focus and "not let the Democrats suck all the air out of the room" and "divert" the President's agenda with "other issues". Not even when the "other issues", are vast crimes with dead bodies attached to them.

Testing, testing, testing (the truce, that is). Romney is running on a conservative platform. Period. Romney also is winning the nomination by avoiding the types of mistakes made by his rivals in the primaries.

That’s the thing about Obama. I will never understand how the American people elected as our leader a man who hates us and hates our country.

What other president has hated America? Certainly not Carter, for all his flaws and failures.

Maybe Woodrow Wilson, he seems to be a pretty hateful guy. Did he hate America?

And yes, Romney and ALL the others who ran, do love America which is why any single one of them would be a better president than the radical leftist Barack Obama.

Romney is running on a conservative platform. Period.

Bullshit. He's run as a liberal and won Obama strongholds he will lose in November. It also helps that the GOP has been willing to change the rules in his favor after the vote like they did in Michigan.

All the brains and half the charm of Joe Biden.

The best solution may be voting GOP downticket, if you have a conservative to vote for (most do).

Romney in the White House, as I just posted, will be Zero help -- pun intentional -- and will actually do more damage than Obama, because Romney would be the titular leader of the GOP and would define all issues and platform planks. He could -- and will -- deliberately push the Tea Party into a corner, because RiNO's hate their own base. They hate our guts. Start latching onto that fact and getting your mind around it.

With Willard the nominee, the only way out of our jam is to get a 2/3's majority in the Senate in this rare opportunity to do so -- and use it to drag Obama out of the White House by impeachment and conviction. Even if some RiNO senators refuse to vote for Obama, even if you get another Democratic party-line vote to sustain him, you will damage them and their party with the People, you will defeat the Media filters and be able to lay your case directly before the People, whose attention you will have for a change without 'Rat-B*stard Press intermediation.

In fact, I've made the case in this space for the political utility of impeaching AG Holder now, and forcing the Senate Democrats to vote down the line for him this fall, with us looking down their throats. Talk about defining some issues and hanging them around the 'Rats' necks -- but again, the RiNOs are playing to lose and are more interested in screwing us than working against the Democrats.

Perhaps authors like Dunn would be wise to write stuff like that. Or does Dunn (and others like him) have some reason for keeping Obama’s opponents divided?

And about a third of the starch.

The down ticket races will be my primary reason for going to the polls. Mitt supporters better hope and pray for write in and 3rd party voters to save those down ticket races.

I don't think Romney won by running on a conservative platform at all, he mostly ran a scorched earth campaign against his rivals, depressed turn out, and now has to figure out if he can convince the base he is better than Bambi.

I'm going to vote for him because an orange juice can is better than the evil Bambi has to offer, and because of that I find it insane to work against the GOP nominee who is running against such evil. I will work and hope for more conservatives on the down tickets to press Romney to the right, and would love to be surprised to find out he's better than I think (not holding my breath).

I’m predicting the lowest turnout either party has seen in decades.

Yes, I don’t need flowers and sunshine pumped up my fundament, or to be talked off the ledge, to vote to deny the Usurper further time to destroy our civilization’s future.

That would be one thing but this author goes out of his way to insult the rest of the GOP primary field. Why? His stuff reads like the base embarrasses him and their only use now is to be insulted inorder to impress the middle that the GOP isn't like that.

See the speculation that Netan-Yoohoo will do something in October about Iran?

Because they have no principles left, all Romney Republicans have are blunt instruments. The clubbing of conservatives into line is all they know how to do.
