I agree with you, but taking things as reported here: she’s 14, he’s 4, she stabbed him multiple times, it’s hard to see how this is any other than a depraved act.
Had she shook him, or punched him or knocked him down, had he been older, then maybe we could imagine some “things just got out of control” scenario.
I remember one awful story about a big family dinner, maybe it was even Thanksgiving. There were a lot of people there and one man, the grandfather I think, was helping to clear the table and the granddaughter (I think) ran into him. Well, part of the stuff he was clearing from the table including a sharp knife sticking out between the dishes and it stabbed this poor girl right in the heart and she died.
So awful.
But somehow I’m thinking this will not turn out to be a case like that.
Yes, but I was just commenting on blaming the judiciary for the dysfunction.
