I read the article and the part that mentions his previous co-star Dana Plato. I didn't know who she was, and did a search. She died at 35 from an apparent suicide, and her son died at 16 from suicide. What a wonderful legacy Hollywood has for childhood actors/actresses.

Dana Plato was the daughter (white sister) on Different Strokes. She robbed liquor stores and was in porn before her suicide.
