This New York Times article is misleading and has an obvious agenda. At least one of the Newport Beach "mansions" is a home they bought some 40 or 50 years ago when Newport was cheap and sparsely inhabited. The other was donated by a single person, as I recall.

The TBN network is the world's largest TV network with over 18,000 affiliates. For comparison, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox COMBINED have fewer than 1000 affiliates. The chief executives of those networks also fly in private jets, even though they do not have the same international footprint as TBN. The head of TBN makes $400K per year. I am sure each of the other networks pays far more.

I do not agree with everything TBN does, but I believe them to be honest and to live with relative modesty. For example, even though Mrs. Crouch is an on-air personality, she is known to wear the same clothes frequently, from year to year. She could easily justify an expensive wardrobe.

Anyone who buys this story without some skepticism probably also swallowed the NYTimes stories about "diva" Sarah Palin and her $150,000 campaign wardrobe.

More Communist propaganda about humble servants of the Lord. Why, their poor pooches (slandered by the article) have worn the same tutus since they were born.
