So why is it that an ultraliberal one-party State like California is conducting mass layoffs of teachers?

Could it be because liberalism is a fraud?

The unions goad is fear, that’s why it must
be kept up.

Bring your pay package back to the level that is in line with the current economy and it just might stop happening. Unions that promise to make you wealthy are frauds.

Promises they have no intention of keeping. This is just a way to force taxpayers to bend over again.

However, we don’t see pink slips for assistant principals, diversity affairs department, human resources etc.

Only the teachers get pink slips?

We’re not buying it.

"roughly 75 percent of teachers who received layoff warnings were either never laid off or laid off and called back to work"

Lest they forget, the teachers subject to this merry-go-round have liberals (e.g., Ted Kennedy) to thank for this. When laws are passed requiring 60-day notice before a layoff (rather than being told when you walk in the door on your last day) then the organization just keeps issuing pink slips "just in case" each year. So the advance notice clause does no one any good.

Another example of the law of unintended connsequences.
