"In a second term," Mitt Romney darkly warned in a speech to the National Rifle Association last month, President Obama "would be unrestrained by the demands of reelection."
...His only specific prediction was that Obama would "remake" the Supreme Court.
....
At the end of 2012, we'll face what Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke calls "the fiscal cliff": The Bush tax cuts are set to expire, the $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts initiated when the deficit "supercommittee" failed to reach a deal are set to begin, we're expected to hit the debt ceiling again, and many other programs and tax credits will come up for renewal.
Around the Hill, they refer to this as "taxmageddon."
...
Beyond the deficit, Obama's advisers see two big unfinished pieces of business from the first term: climate change and immigration reform.

Seriously? If you believe this, than YOU are the one not facing reality.
Kill the first born male child in every household.
Good for you, enjoy Obie.
[shrug] Im not voting for Romney. Not even considering it. Have a nice day.
That’s like seeing a horrible crime committed and doing nothing about it because you don’t like cops. It’s your choice. Have a nice day.

KMA.
As he told Medevev, after Nov. he will much more flexible. As if we haven’t seen anything. This guy is so adamant about scolding friends like Israel, and almost anticipatory in capitulating to our enemies. I’ve heard many say Romney wouldn’t be much different, but I have a hard time seeing Romney putting Kagan or Sotomayor up for a supreme court justice. Granted, I’m not saying he’d give us another Scalia, but come on, these are two of the most liberal people on the planet. I would hate to give him 4 more years to replace a Scalia or a Thomas. I won’t hold my nose and vote for Romney, I will wear gas mask when I do it, but there really isn’t a viable alternative. It’s not hyperbole to state 4 more years of Obama will destroy this country. Think it’s been bad so far, wait till he no longer has an election to be concerned with. It’s your choice what to do with your vote, I’m just pleading the case for my kids.
If Romney loses, there will be nothing left to reunite. We will then get Michael Bloomberg as our Republican nominee next time around, probably to face off against Hillary Clinton or Cuomo or some other extreme libtard.
You see, you will NOT get a more conservative party by losing. History has shown that time and again.
He’ll start working on his third.
Better yet, South Africa.
Folks, it’s ABO. I know Mitt stinks to high heaven but we’re swinging for the fences. We have to get local constitutionalists elected first. You can’t get DC in line if you can’t get your neighborhood dogcatcher in first. Make The best deal you can now and then make sure you have the infrastructure to get a better deal later. Remember, 2010 was only two years ago and the parties have been entrenched for decades. Sit home if you want to. This is the real world.
Hopefully? Hope is a lack of a plan and also a denial of reality.
Nah, they’ll just sit behind their computer and complain. Really, who would they charge?
“You see, you will NOT get a more conservative party by losing. History has shown that time and again.”
Well, let’s just talk about American history, which they used to teach in the schools.
In 1916, the GOP lost to Wilson when the GOP ran the “progressive” Charles Evan Hughes. Four years later, in 1920, the GOP ran and won with the more conservative Warren Harding.
In 1960, the GOP lost to Kennedy when the GOP nominated and ran Richard Nixon. Four years later, the conservatives gained control of the party and nominated the much more conservative Barry Goldwater.
In 1976, the GOP lost to Carter when the GOP nominated and ran a moderate, Gerald Ford. Four years later, in 1980, the GOP nominated and won with the more conservative Ronald Reagan.
In 1996, the GOP lost to Clinton when the GOP nominated and ran a moderate named Bob Dole. Four years later, in 2000, the GOP nominated and won with the more conservative George W. Bush.
That is what history has shown.
and flyswatters, lots of flyswatters
What would he do? What he does every day. Try to take over the world...
Amen! These “take my ball and go homers” think that if Romney loses they will get their super conservative candidate in 2016.
Chances are that the conservative vote will split again and *viola* another mooshy establishment guy.
At least when I was a kid and they took their ball and went home you didn't have to listen to their whining any more. :^)
Yup, and he did not get elected governor in liberal Massachusetts being a conservative.
