Axelrod: Tea party ‘reign of terror’ blocked immigration reform
The Hill ^ | April 22, 2012 | Cameron Joseph

David Axelrod, a top campaign adviser to President Obama, said comprehensive immigration reform had not occurred during Obama's first term because the Republican senators who'd backed it during President George W. Bush's presidency were not willing to stand up and work with Obama.

"A lot of Republicans in Congress want to cooperate, they know better, but they are in the thralls of this reign of terror from the far right that has dragged this party to the right," Axelrod said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning.

Republicans HOPE people are smart, while Democrats KNOW people are stupid.

OR

Republicans HOPE people are informed, while Democrats KNOW people are ignorant.

Nowadays, Stupid and Ignorant are mainstream, while smart and informed are extreme. The Bizarro World is here and we are living in it.

I doubt he is making it up. This is the kind of behavior we have seen from the likes of Lindseed Grahamcracker and the rest of the “Moderate” RINO Republicans. I am sure Zero has been told that serveral times by them.

As far as I’m concerned he can eat something that is left behind by dogs.

Immigration Reform is code for “amnesty”.

The propaganda here is the use of the word “reform”. “Reform” means to change things to make them better. The Tea Party did not block reform because reform of immigration law was never proposed. Nothing that was proposed was going to make the immigration system better.

Tea Party was just a portion of the outrage.

Agreed. Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs and FR were unleashing a hellstorm on them over Bush's amnesty proposal, long before there was a Tea Party.

Yeah, the std formula for this bunch: begin with a straw man, propel it along with a healthy amount of hysteria, and hope the targets (tools) respond emotionally/favorably to your message. Same strategy deployed upon womynz and not very different from their fueling racial animus among blacks; to remind them who their enemies are, and get them out the house(sic) to vote.

Hell, were I a member of these groups I'd be insulted at such an illogical/dishonest/transparent punk play by these Rats...truth is it'll likely meet with sucess...makes me want to puke.

This is quite an interesting thing about unions. While their leadership were sucking up dues, good union wage jobs were being lost to illegal immigrants. The union response hasn't been to complain, their response has been to attempt to organize the illegals.

Meat packing is a perfect example. In the 80's those jobs could pay as high as $18/hr. Now it is done by illegal labor for <$10/hr.

In Vegas a large portion of the hotel staff is illegal, but SEIU doesn't care about Americans looking for jobs or union members whose wages are suppressed. All they care about is getting the illegals to sign up for the union.

McCain-Kennedy was under Bush in 2007. Obama could have passed CIR with the Dems overwhelming control over Congress the same way they passed Obamacare without a single Rep vote. Axelrod is full of sh#t.

The politicans of GOPe also have seen those terrible Tea party people organize to bring down some rinos, too. They are not going to get away with screwing the Nation without damage. They know it.

They know they can’t ram-rod through liberals at the State level like they did with Romney. McLame would be in Arizona rather than in the Senate had not Palin’s Tea Party people supported him. He had a close brush with his support of illegal immigration during that election.

“Reign of terror?” Now that’s a hoot. Nice try Axle but folks ain’t gonna buy it. I suggest he focuses on the Obama-supported and Pelosi-supported Occupy terrorists. Now that’s a reign of terror!
