In 2010 Murdouch got more votes than Donnelly in Donnelly's congressional district.
You know well what I posted on the Mich thread on this. I saw it happen to a personal friend of mine who is now the congressman for Mi 1.
Funny thing, not very many understand that when elected, you go to DC and they threaten you the very minute you get sworn in. Either you play the game, or you dont get shit. Its like the Amish shunning their own.
To break this, it must be treated like dealing with the mob. A national strike by the truckers would go a long way to put an end to this.
Please God, let this be true!
I yearn again for the days when the Foreign Relations Committe was chaired by a real conservative like Jesse Helms, who gaveled idiot John Kerry into silence.
Losing Peyton must have been quite a blow. In more ways than one, a little Luck may strike hoosierdom again on Tuesday.
You forget Fort Wayne, And South Bend, too. Evansville is the only reliable “R” large city in Indiana.
If Dems think they have a chance to win this seat, they will poor MILLIONS in to it. Have you forgotten Delaware? And the Dems will use the same lies Lugar is using against Mourdock.
I’m going to be filling in the circle for M, I think. But I have no illusions about what this election is going to be like.
Our BIG saving grace is Future Presidential Candidate Mike Pence. Indiana Dems are already going ape-s**t over him. He can command the TV much better than even Daniels does.
We have a spoilsport law here, he can’t switch to an independent now.
1 - Not too sure, Donnelly almost fell in ‘10, but I think they may hold this year, IMHO.
2 - I think Rokita will win myself, Buyer had large shoes to fill but most people I talk to think he is doing a good job, I am voting for him myself, I live in the 4th.
3 - Burton really threw me, I think Susan Brooks might have a good chance, again imho but that is the chatter I keep hearing.
4 - Messer has the name recognition, my money will be on him.
5 - Carson? Snowball’s chance in hell we can get him out of there. Like his Grandma he will be in there until he dies
6 - I would love to see her do it, but nope, Bucshon will take it.
Ever since Specter switched parties, I've found Lugar to be the second most annoying GOP senator after Juan McLame. Once he's gone, Lindsay Graham will move up to the number two spot. I'm willing to cut the weak sisters from Maine and Scott Brown a little slack since they represent ultra-liberal constituencies.
The champagne will flow like water at our county Republican meeting when they call the election for Mourdock.
It appears the hard work of you and those like u in Indiana grassroots may deliver a knockout to Lugar. Thanks for the hard work.
I wish we had some “Mourdocks” running in Tn against Coker and Alexander. Alexander MUST GO!
When you post about the primary,a s I'm sure you will..if you remember..ping me..
What are the odds that Lugar so loves “his” senate seat that he will either run as an independent or as a Democrat?
Tuesday night I will be working the polls, I hope to be on here after the post party though.
Karl Rove foot-stamping hissy fit commencing in 3......2.......1.......
Lugar = TARP voter
Bye bye
This is exactly what we need all over the country. A significant Conservative representation in the senate. This is the only way anything will get turned around in this country.
Then if you have any courage you fight. You fight and at least make your party leaders pay for their arrogance. And if things go right and you keep the fight up, the leadership will have to deal with a hostile freshman and sophomore class of representatives and senators on the next election.
Indiana has a “sore loser” law. If you run and lose in the primary, you’re done.
