I have several of Dr. Sowell's books, including The Thomas Sowell Reader, which is a great compendium of his essays. The man's a national treasure.

No argument, but who reads him except white people and a few black conservatives.

Apparently, many libs. Playwright David Mamet was an arch-lib for many years and mentioned Sowell as one of the key figures in his transformation from liberal to conservative. I'll bet millions of libs read Sowell's columns and deep down know he's right. But many of them don't have the integrity to admit they wrong, like Mamet did, and change.
