A crowd of over 100 black youths attack a white couple who made the mistake of stopping at a stop light in Norfolk, Va. The Virginia-Pilot newspaper waited 2 WEEKS to report the story, and then probably only because the victims, who work at The Virginia Pilot are known to other reporters who work there.
In 1961, my parents, aunt and uncle, took a trip to New York City. They got lost and ended up in Harlem at a red light. They had a (then) new 1961 Buick Special. The Blacks in the street started to converge on their car. My mother told my dad, "roll the windows up, turn on the A/C and get ready to 'punch it.'" The light then turned green and they high tailed it out of there. Myself, red or not, if I see anything like that, I'm outta there, I'll take the ticket if I have to.

Nowhere Man
(General James Mattoon Scott, where are you when we need you? We need a regime change.)

Ellen: This is so dangerous, we have no business being in an area like this.
Clark: Well look at it this way honey, this is a part of America we never get to see.
Ellen: That's good. Clark: No, that's bad. I mean we can't close our eyes to the plight of the cities.
Kids, you noticing all this plight? This will just make us appreciate what we have. (gun shot and scream) Roll em up.
