I'm aware of this but I'm not that interested to spend the time looking into it. That's why I asked those more knowledgeable than myself about this topic: is there any physical evidence to suggest more than one gun was used? Missing items make for great conspiracy pieces but too often have legitimate, non-conspiratorial reasons.
Otherwise, I'm very skeptical of witness testimony about something as specific as the exact number of gunshots heard when multiple shots were fired in a chaotic situation.
Hard evidence was in many cases destroyed by the LAPD.
Ceiling tiles and door frames with bullet holes would have helped to illustrate the number and trajectory of all bullets fired. Photos taken by Scott Enyart were later “lost” when they were scheduled to be returned by him.
Without that evidence, the more compelling story is how LAPD investigators didn’t do the legwork to determine all the activities of persons who were in contact with Sirhan before the shooting, and pressured witnesses who contradicted the “lone nut shooter” conclusion they apparently wanted to draw.
Kennedy originally wasn’t supposed to be in the pantry that night, as it was a last-minute switch from his planned route. Sirhan held a loaded gun but he wasn’t a clairvoyant genius who could forsee or control RFK’s movements.
Somehow the two occupied the same place at the same time.
Who was in a position to have MMO to kill RFK? That’s the basics of any murder investigation but yet what the LAPD chose to suppress rather than fully disclose. That’s why we’re still wondering, 44 years later.
