The control of the US government has been a dream of the left and a long time coming. We simply cannot allow them to maintain control, for, like you, I see a terrible furutre if we do not prevail this fall.
We need to remember that we were not given choices of perfect canidates, only those flawed in one way or another, some through political ineptness, some through personal foibles, and some through weak ideology.
I have a strong practical streak and although Romney and I disagree on a great many issues, he’s good enough for the current times. People should not underestimate the ruthless streak he usually keeps hidden, the smartness of the guy, the effect of Ann and those handsome and successful boys, and the story of his father, who rose from selling paint out of the back of his car to running American motors, running for president, and then becoming a cabinet secretary.
The Army we have is Romney. So let’s choose to help him defend our cause the best we can, rather than tearing him down to prove a point. Should we choose the latter course, generations yet unborn will not thank us, but will curse our memories.

I actually think Romney has the potential to rise to the occasion, both as a candidate and as a president, if elected.
As you say he is smart, and has smart and experienced advisers.
