As for the preppers, it seems to me that only with hardened hearts can they feed themselves while all around them are those who are starving.

Thanks for the tip on the "hardened heart" .. I'll start working on that next week as part of my preparations.

It's easy to find excuses not to prepare (aka "due diligence"). Is your home also not insured against fire?

You can tell some folks, but you can't tell 'em much. The nay-sayers eventually shut-up and slink off, because they can't stand to look at themselves as useless and unprepared, when others are preparing.
