Liberals making a mountain out of another molehill. Teach them the nuances of class envy before they get out of diapers. "You can't always get what you want" is more than an old Roling Stones song! Our lovely daughter learned this important life lesson at around the same age as that kid. Whenever she did act up I would calmly but sternly admonish her that "fair" is the other 4-letter F-word I never want to hear out of her mouth ;)Look at the video from :31-:36. It seemw that if that evil greedy 1%er didn't grab the ball it could've beaned the kid in the head and guess what? Big time lawsuit against the Texas Rangers and the MLB! Typical lib MO just can't win no matter what!

Ballistic toddlers - should we shoot them out of cannons?

I’ve seen that clip so many times this week. My kids and husband agree, kid was perhaps a bit spoiled and should NOT have received a baseball after his little performance.

My understanding is that a player made eye contact with the child and tossed the ball to the child; but the ball was caught by the adult couple seated alongside, who then gloated and posed for pictures, whereupon the child cried.

The announcer saw the whole thing on the jumbotron and called out the inconsiderate behavior of the couple, since this ballpark apparently has a tradition of throwing balls to small kids. Then another team member threw a second ball to the child, because the first one had been intended for him.

It’s hardly a case of bad parenting or poor behavior by a tiny child. All these events happened in a moment.

This kid is spoiled. He is learning how to get what he wants.

I recently heard on the radio of a woman was asking what to do with her dog because every time her dog wants a doggie treat, it starts barking and nipping at her while trying to bite her. So she keeps treats in every room of her house to give to the dog when it starts behaving this way because she is constantly afraid of being being nipped at and bitten. The woman was asked if she gave the dog a treat every time it was behaving this way and she said yes.

If you watch the video closely you’ll see that the little kid was crying BEFORE the baseball ever reached the stands. His crying wasn’t over the baseball, although that situation probably made things worse.

The kid is 3, so lighten up a bit. Lots of kids wouldn’t be happy during an entire baseball game and I believe the camera just caught him while he wasn’t happy.

The kid also stopped crying very quickly after the whole baseball episode ended, so obviously it wasn’t a huge problem for him.

I think the kid is normal, and he probably has some great parents. :)

She’s a hag. I would have given the little boy the ball in a heartbeat. You only get so many opportunities in life to make someone happy.

This ticked me off when I first heard about it. the Yankee announcer made a huge deal out of it, deriding the couple who got the ball.

I watched a lot of the game but didn’t see this particular thing.

If there’s a screaming kid near me, I try to ignore them. I don’t think this couple noticed the kid... they were having fun with their having gotten the baseball.

My son and I argued about this yesterday. He thought the kid should have been given the ball. What significance could a major league baseball have to a three-year-old. It was just a ball he wanted and cried for.

Not a huge deal, but the couple were derided on national television and are gtting married today. What a shame that their special day was marred by all this negative publicity.
