This Savage guy is a real piece of work. It is almost incomprehensible that he would be invited to speak to these kids at this conference. A simple Google search would have told the conference organizers all about this guy.

The organizers not only knew what Savage is about: they SUPPORT what he’s about. That’s why they sent out a non-apology to the attendees to shove it in their faces that “we were very pleased with all of the educational opportunities at the Seattle convention and we hope our attendees feel the same.” That’s where “journalism” is today, boys and girls.

Look at the up side...
As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference. Smart kids.

Uh...the “conference organizers” love the “norming” influence, as it attracts more potential victims.

Dan Savage anti-bullying? You have to be shitting me. He's a real piece of work, and a piece of trash. Anyone that knows his writings has known that for years.

We talked about bullying some time back right here on FreeRepublic... a few months later the left - always looking for a pity party -decided THEY were being bullied. That's about as likely as 90 year old grandmothers "bullying: Union Dock Workers...
Conservative children are bullied in schools - by their teachers and teacher's pets... No liberals are being bullied anywhere. If it happens it'll be on the front page of every newspaper. This story? It won't be covered.

I happened to read Savage’s column once. This guy is a pervert of the highest magnitude. He must be institutionalized and treated.

the louder they flog their cause, the more skeletons in their closet. it’s absolutely true regardless of race, creed, color, sexual preference, hair color, shoe size, whatever.

That will never be a phrase deserving of anything save contempt and ridicule.

Savage, and his husband, were also guests at the White House for President Obamas 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception. He was also invited to a White House anti-bullying conference.LMAO!!!
You just knew this guy had to be a faggot friend of Ubama and the rats!

...an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant pansy asses. Irony, as usual, is completely lost on such people.
But a very revealing moment. Far too often, people on the Left are opposed to [name the issue: slavery, discrimination, bullying, whatever]...ONLY FOR THEMSELVES AND PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE THEMSELVES. This is how people can demand the criminalization of the use of the n-word...while blaring the word out of their car speakers at 110 db.
This is how one typically finds "staunch opponents of capital punishment" calling for the assassination of Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin.

Dan Savage is many horrid things. And one of the horrid things that he is, is a bully.
To have him speak against bullying is like inviting RuPaul to speak against cross-dressing, to have Ted Nugent speak against hunting, Willie Nelson give an anti-pot address, Bill Ayers to speak for peace, Queen Elizabeth to call for an end to monarchy, Paula Deen against butter.

The Bible tells how Sodom became so wicked that when angelic visitors came to Lot’s house, all the men in the town surrounded the house and demanded Lot give up his male visitors, so they could rape them. To make matters worse, Lot offers up his two virgin daughters to appease the crowd. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+19&version=NIV1984
When we first read this account it seems unbelievable. How could a society get this bad?
I’m beginning to see.
Good on the kids that walked out. There’s still some hope.

You handle bullies by punching them in the mouth. The one hundred kids who walked out should have first beat the crap out of this Savage dude(ironic name). In my day, forty-five years ago, that’s how you handled a typical school-yard bully. What the f**k is wrong with kids today?

Remarkable — he was hired to demonstrate a textbook example of bullying, in real time, to a group of high school kids.
