The Obamas NEVER knew what the job of the President entailed. They had lived all their lives with a Black Nationalist fantasy that the POTUS was some kind of King who could do what he want. And if Black people just got in charge, then they could finally make things right. They've made a 1/4 million a year for quite a few years and never had to really work for it. Now reality has hit them and they can't stand it, so they want more power to try and force their fantasy on the world. But it will never work.

I don't think Obama has given up his fantasy of being a Robert Mugabe/Hugo Chavez kind of leader--he just figures he has to be re-elected to reach that goal.
President Taft liked to leave the White House and see how far he could go before someone recognized who he was. Of course it was a lot safer to walk around Washington in those days.
