Lincoln said that slavery was a great sin and that the nation would have to pay for that sin. He was referring to the bloodletting and heartbreak caused by mass casualties and widespread destruction. But the debt continues to be paid, in the form of a large segment of the population that contributes nothing to, but drains enormous psychic and material resources from, the good old USA. When, if ever, will it end?
