Depends on the suburbs you are referencing. Most I have lived in the majority are well armed with not only handguns and rifles, but possess what the MSM would label “assault weapons”.
In my current suburb in California, the demographics would closely mirror your example, and I would be one of those who would bug out to a more defensible position if it came down to it, but even in my current situation it would take a significant amount of firepower to take me out.
Those suburbanites who aren’t prepared only have themselves to blame and if they survive they will learn a valuable lesson.
Down in SFL, hurricanes have made us have extremely durable window coverings. Seems like an advantage sometimes, thinking of having all that available.
